Building Porter – Keep Our Community Sparkling!

As a Building Porter, you’ll be the heart of our community’s cleanliness—making sure everything from hallways to common areas to vacant apartments is spotless and well-maintained. Your work keeps our residents happy and ensures our property looks its best every day.

💰 Competitive Pay! This position is subject to prevailing wage requirements, so your compensation is determined by federal, state, and local guidelines.

Salary Range: $21-$24 per hour, commensurate with experience


What You’ll Do:
Keep public spaces, amenity areas, and office areas clean—vacuum, mop, dust, and empty trash
Ensure restrooms and high-touch areas are sanitized
Clean and refresh vacant apartments to get them move-in ready
Handle small maintenance tasks (changing light bulbs, replacing covers, etc.)
Assist with seasonal tasks like snow removal and sidewalk cleaning
Report any safety concerns or maintenance issues
Keep cleaning tools and supplies organized and in good condition


What We’re Looking For:
At least one year of experience in a similar role
A friendly and professional attitudeyou enjoy helping people!
Ability to work independently and stay organized
Some basic mechanical know-how
A team player who takes pride in their work

Physical & Work Environment:
🏢 You’ll be working both indoors and outdoors in a residential building.
🛠 This role requires frequent movement, stair climbing, bending, lifting (up to 50 lbs), and using cleaning equipment.
