Grubb Properties is looking for a Make Ready Technician to help prepare apartments for new residents and keep our community looking its best. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys staying active, takes pride in their work, and enjoys seeing the results of a job well done.

What You'll Do
Every day is a little different, but your responsibilities will include:
  • Preparing vacant apartments for new residents, including painting, cleaning, and completing make-ready work
  • Completing routine maintenance work orders and responding to resident maintenance requests
  • Performing basic repairs involving HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general maintenance
  • Keeping the property clean by removing trash and debris and maintaining common areas, offices, amenities, and recreational spaces
  • Assisting with preventative maintenance to help keep buildings, equipment, and community amenities in good working order
  • Monitoring inventory and restocking maintenance and cleaning supplies
  • Documenting completed work and communicating with residents about maintenance performed
  • Reporting safety concerns, maintenance issues, or other hazards to the maintenance team
  • Working closely with the Property Manager, Service Supervisor, and other team members to maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming community

What You'll Bring
Required Qualifications
  • At least 18 years of age
  • At least one year of maintenance, construction, facilities, landscaping, or related experience
  • Basic knowledge of one or more of the following: HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, or general maintenance.
  • Ability to safely use hand and power tools
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a team

Physical Requirements
This is an active role that requires:
  • Working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Frequent walking, climbing stairs and ladders, bending, kneeling, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds
  • Using hand tools, power tools, and other maintenance equipment
  • Remaining on your feet for extended periods throughout the day
